"Everything is not as it seems...it is much better"

Things you need to know about me; I have most of my hair, all of my original limbs and almost all of my marbles. I am very fit and active. I don't like the cold and have a big need to go south in the winter. Several trips are already planned but there is always room for the right lady (who am I kidding... you don't have to be a lady)

Here is what I would make me really happy;

You show up for our first date and I'm thinking to myself...wow she looks even better than in her picture. Casual and classy at the same time. The conversation flows easily and I can't help but notice that you are very open minded and laugh easily. I find myself so enjoying your company that I don't want the date to end so early.

As I'm driving home I review in my mind my impressions from the date. I gleamed from the conversation that you are an especially kind and generous person. You've learned how to leave the past where it belongs, in the past. A great sense of humor and an easy going manner. You've kept yourself trim and fit and damn you clean up good. And of course I find you physically attractive.

I'm excited about the prospects for another date....

I had been thinking that a coffee date would be best. That way if it's not working, then it's easier to get away quickly. But upon reflection I'm thinking that I don't want any first date that presupposes it will be unsuccessful.

Assuming that it would be a successful date then I would prefer some quiet place and a glass of wine. That would be more intimate and probably lead to a more relaxed conversation. WARNING; more than one glass of vino and I tend to talk too much!

But then again what's best is what both would be comfortable with and I'm quite comfortable in my skin so...you decide.
