Happily retired I have family and friends all over U.S.A., and when I can, I love to visit. Like Ben Franklin I subscribe to the notion that fish and visitors begin to stink after 3 days; I behave accordingly. I am fun to be with, love laughter and jokes, humorous/unusual endeavors...ask me about where I saw ducks walking on fish recently!!!....I am mother to three beautiful daughters, two are fraternal twins. They have given me seven wonderful, totally different, lovable/ huggable, smart grandchildren. My oldest granddaughter made me a Great Granny in Feb'09. My Kalysta was born ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!! She is adorable, has reddish hair and was born to sing!!!! Children and their welfare are/were my life's work. Although I could live with any of my kids/grand kids/friends I presently choose to live alone, in a nice quiet NE FLorida country town, near St. Augustine, Gainesville, and lots of cool, pleasant places to visit. I would love to make friends all over Florida, to carouse/play/banter/sing/relax with on my visits. Although I have had pets in the past, now I only have granddogs, cats, snakes, chinchillas, little lizards and other critters, some of which I helped catch/obtain. I am not squeamish and the kids love to have me show them fun stuff....ant lions, huge bugs of any kind, wood bees, kittens/puppies/birds/snakes/turtles/fish being born, hatched, caught, cooked and sometimes eaten. Reality orientation is an optimum quality in friends, and straightforward talk is important. Read NO FURTHER if you are looking for perfection!! I have learned by my mistakes and want to meet others who have, too. I am not much into physical activity and lots of heat and sunlight....prefer cool, shady places, lakes, springs, trees and nature. Air conditioning, pizza and chocolate are my best friends. Want to bounce your ideas off someone who knows a little about a lot??? Friends and family say I am lots of fun but dangerous, and have opinions about lots of social issues, most of which I have EXPERIENCED....wanna come out and play??? I love my family, grandkids, their pets, and want to have a running mate, okay--really a stumbling mate, because I do that WELL!!! Time is wasting.....

Hmm..depending on how mobile I am at the moment, I would love to pack a lovely lunch, go to a nearby natural/family oriented site, zoo, museum, and include some related activity. My favorite trip was planned after seeing the movie, Cross Creek, about Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. I then rented the Yearling and Cross Creek again, literally kidnapped (I drove MY vehicle, did not tell where, how, or what we were up to) my friend, and went to the actual Cross Creek - about 2 hours' drive from my home in NE Florida. After fighting off mosquitoes, we picnicked on the Creek and watched animals and birds there. We went home where I had a meal prepared in advance, and watched the news and the two movies about our visit that day!!! Come to think of it, even the mosquitoes were fun!! We got to swat at them and each other. What would you like to experience????
