My name is Steve and I just graduated from Hiram College with a major in Biology and Political Science. I love politics, traveling, Cleveland sports, and most outdoor activities. I am looking for an intelligent, articulate, and caring individual. I love to travel and am always open to trying new and different things ranging from foods to sports and everything in-between. What I am looking for – I want everything, as selfish as that may sound. I value intelligence above all else although I will admit it has usually been based on looks that I have approached someone. I want someone that is articulate, motivated, and has real life goals. I am interested in someone who is kind and caring and really wants to make a difference. I understand the importance of communication and honesty and expect the same in others. I also tend to like people, who like me, know that they can always improve themselves and are always trying to be better people. I want someone who is adventurous and out going (even if not at first). I would like to find someone who values their family and friends above all else. Like I said at the outset I want it all. With that said I am not looking for a relationship if one were to come about great but my aspirations may involve a decent amount of traveling and perhaps getting an overseas job so it would take a really special someone for me get romantic with. I had my heart broken while abroad because she wouldn't handle me being away for a few months and I don't want to go through a repeat. With that said I am always looking for friends and especially people who enjoy going out and being active.

Travel - I am extremely interested in traveling. I have visited Mexico, Canada, the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Aruba, and several vacation spots in the Carolinas and Florida with my family. I have also gone on study abroad trips with school. The first was a biology interdisciplinary course that went to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands for three weeks. The second was a 12-week trip around the world for a “biomes of the world” and a “travel writing” course. On this second trip we visited Alaska, Hawaii, Thailand, India, the Maldives, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, and Germany. At the conclusion of the trip my roommate and I went on a Mediterranean cruise and visited cities in Spain, France, Italy, and Tunisia. My experiences abroad have had a profound impact on my own world views and perspectives. My exposure to different cultures, life styles, and circumstances while abroad have helped to give me a better understanding of the world in which I live and hence I strongly encourage others to travel abroad at least once if not several times during their life. I personally intend on traveling to the Amazon, South Africa. Australia, and Antarctica in the future if my circumstances permit it.
