I'm mentally disturbed, a major game player and a dog to say the least. I tend to be a "Mamma's Boy" and have a history of physical abuse towards women. My idea of intimacy is only one extra woman on the side. I think a vacuum cleaner makes an excellent gift. So, if that's what you're looking for.....look somewhere else. NONE of the above statements are true about me.

I'm a down to earth sort of old fashioned guy, a little shy at first but talkative once I know someone. I grew up in the country but I'm not a redneck. I like life simple so that I can focus on the important things.

I'm not into sports but I would be up to go see live games on occasion but I can't sit through the televised ones, it just bores me. I like movies more than TV. I like comedy more than drama. I prefer classic literature to modern writing but who has the time to read? I like listening to rock, contemporary christian, and acoustic music.

Not looking to jump into anything too serious to quick....been there, done that, could write a book. Would like to meet someone with similar interests to spend time with and get to know. Not ruling anything out but dating and nightlife are not going to be my life's focus.

I should say that although I opted to put "Does not want kids" in the outline, it means that I don't see myself with a newborn in my mid-forties. If you have kids, I'm good with that, actually kids can be a lot of fun.

I guess it would depend on the person. Lunch or coffee maybe somewhere quiet where we can just talk is comfortable but I'm not going to blatantly ask someone out on a date that I hadn't already gotten to know a little online and depending on how the conversations went maybe just talking would be an undershot, why not have a great first date instead of just a good one? So like I said it strongly depends on the person, the only restriction I would place is that it would have to be something mutually agreed upon. I don't like making all the decisions, there has to be balance.
