Been single for a while, have my own apartment, etc. ready to move forward with a steady relationship, with a focus toward long-term. My profession does not lend itself to much social interaction with the opposite sex, and the club/bar scene was never for me so I'm looking for new avenues to meet people. I am down to earth, not heavy on material items (I don't have a cell phone!) and always had a fascination with science. Willing to try some new things...well.. nothing too crazy, but would like to learn a some dance moves, get introduced to a few new foods (though I will do pasta, pizza and Chinese anytime). I Enjoy most types of contemporary music, besides country and some rap. As far as books lately I have been desiring historical based non-fiction with lots of substance.

I rarely drink but but one now and then is cool with me. I like quiet evenings at home but do get out and about when I can, though. Been finding groups to play board games with lately. Not generally a late night person and get up early even on weekends, I can adjust this for the right person though! If I want to get away I enjoy 1-2 days trips around New England. Those are always better with company though :)

When I do find someone I am ready to make a full commitment to that relationship. Playing games with people is certainly not on my agenda, well, other than the board kind which I enjoy :). Looking for someone who has a sense of direction in life, yet doesn't take things too seriously and likes to smile and laugh and desires openness. Prefer someone with similar build, some athleticism is a plus. Very open to those with other ethnic backgrounds.

I have a mild demeanor at the start but I really open up when I make that connection with someone.

Meet for dinner or lunch, get to talk and know each other. Walk someplace public (Castle Island is one of my favorites in the summer) or around town.
