I am a sensitive and fun lovin' big guy with an offbeat sense of humor. I am open and talkative, and can hold my own in spirited and articulate conversation. I am a bit of a political junkie, and love to read various editorial opinions. I am also a history buff(currently reading a couple great books on WW2), and a real "science" guy. I am an electronics technician and hobbyist, and I have a clockbuilding hobby. I was weaned on rock and roll in my youth, but now I prefer "the smooth sounds" of soft jazz. My taste in teevee runs more to the occasional documentary rather than the current crop of reality shows. Guess I need the intellectual stimulation. Which is why I enjoy "The Simpsons!" I share my home with a sweet little siamese cat, "Tasha-kitter", who, arguably is the most important female in my life right now. Not to take anything away from her, but as a man, I really do want more! (Although a woman who can purr softly definitely gets points in my book... :) I love to work around the house (it's an old one) and am not above enjoying having friends over for a cookout, (I am a master) and just hanging out. I am not a big sports fanatic, but I do enjoy baseball in the summer (WhiteSox fan) and college football saturdaze in the fall. (Go Irish!) I do have a romantic side and sharing a nice dinner with a special lady is like Heaven! I am also in total denial about growing old, and toward that end, I walk for fitness and lift weights.( I have strong arms to hold you...) I am attempting to hold onto my relative youth, such as it is! If this profile hasn't scared you off by now, I would like to hear from you. No salesmen will call!

Meeting for lunch or possibly a walk afterwards engaging in spirited conversation getting to know one another. A romantic rendezvous at a nearby 7-11 over a Big Gulp! I am quite the romantic!!
