So I have 2 jobs, they keep me kind of busy. First of all, Im an artist. Its my passion, my life and I spend most of my time persuing that. Whether be making my work, or trying to show it. Also I spend a large part of that time volunteering at a not-for-profit art studio in Hamilton. Its actually the studio I work out of, so Im either voluntering, or working out of it. As a means to sustain all of this, I am a kitchen manager in a pub as well. So what girl wouldnt love a guy whon is artsy and can cook right? Well here is the catch which seems to be the largest hold up of interest;


So heres the honesty;

I spent 12 years in the restaurant industry. Cooking mostly, but the last few years have been restaurant management. I do enjoy this, however, it was NOT my dream. I proved to myself that I am very capable, and very responsible, and currently use it as a part-time job to sustain other things in my life. This is a security-blanket and will always be something to fall back on, if other things dont go the way I intend.

Heres the brutal honesty;

I left my job, running a restaurant/bakery, recently. This is because opportunity has come up in order for me to chase my dreams. You see despite extensive work in the restaurant industry, it was a means to support myself through school. I went to school for Fine Arts, and am very good at what I do. Over the last year I have been attempting to push my way into the art world, it went well. So I decided to leave my job and persue it more seriously. In order to sustain myself, I moved back home with my parents. So there it is, I am 27 and just moved back home, and running a restaurant part-time. Im sure that is a turn on for most girls(lol). Maybe that isnt, but maybe following a 16 year old dream is. Like I said, this isnt about being lazy, or not having any drive, or wanting my parents to take care of me, or not being able to grow up, or anything else...its about following my dreams. Additionally, Im using this opportunity to volunteer, which I find extremely rewarding and possibly even head back to school aswell inorder to get my Masters Degree in Fine Art. I have put off the application process until next year, as I try to save some money, as well as get some more artwork and showing experience under my belt. I am a practicing fine artist, I just one a scholarship for free use of a studio for an entire year, and this is my focus in life. I have a once in a lifetime opportunity to make work and not worry about costs, so thats what Im doing. Working a little bit to pay the bills, but focussing on making/showing my work hopeing to break through.

Now a little about me;

Life is busy and I like to take it easy in my spare time. I am kinda shy, but once I open up thats it. Have a very sarcastic sense of humour and find most things funny, though I still remain serious and focussed on life. Very dedicated and loyal, not in it for games, HATE lying. Im very honest, caring, compassionate and dependable. Looking for long term relationship, however, am in no hurry to get there, really want to take it slow, all relationships of any form begin as freindships. Someone easy-going, but has a direction or aspirations and a good sense of humour, caring and understanding, are all important. Just want something REAL! Love my Family, and friends, very close with them. I strongly believe that anticipation breeds desire, and the best things in life are worth the wait. Lets take it slow.
