Hmm, lets see. I just moved back to the DC area from New Orleans. Went down there after the storm (Katrina) to help out some friends and ended up staying for the last three years. So..haven't been around the area for a while. I am in the restaurant biz, and know a lot of folks in the area. It seems that the older we get, the harder it is to find someone who matches up with who I/we are. I'm not broken, still in good shape and still enjoy life to the fullest (and I suppose all men write that). References on request.This thing/times/experience strikes me like I'm shopping in an outlet mall....everytime I think I found a nice shirt, there is a button missing, only available in XXXL or threads fraying on the edges. Then again, it only takes one chance meeting, and besides, we all could use another good friend. But seems like these days(or time of life)everyone has left the party.

Jeez, a good conversation, over a good drink. Tell some stories. Listen. Share some life experiences. Contemplate why folks do what they do.
