Okay, here we go. Life is far from perfect but it's absolutely amazing. I'm very intellectual and very emotional; I feel everything quite keenly but luckily for you guys, my brain actually functions and I can be reasoned with. Because my job is extremely social while I'm essentially an introvert, I tend to hibernate when I'm not at work. That's why I'm turning to the internet to meet people, so I can meet the entire world in my bathrobe.

If you are interested in writing back, please understand something about me: I like literacy. Please, if you write "4 U" instead of "for you", it's highly likely that I won't write back. Sorry, nothing personal. It's just the way I am.

Plentyoffish's recommendation is to talk about my hobbies. Besides dance, and making ballgowns, my hobbies are taking care of my dogs, working in the yard, fixing and decorating the house, and thinking. I like to read the paper with a cup of coffee in the morning, and the first thing I turn to is the funny pages. I'm handy with a set of tools and I swoon at the thought of a man who mows the lawn without being asked. If you take out the trash and put your dirty clothes in the clothes hamper, you're my hero. My goals and aspirations -- Plentyoffish recommends to talk about that -- I dance and run a dance studio. Eventually, I intend to get published as a novelist. Plentyoffish says to talk about yourself and what makes you unique. I dance now, and have competed at it extensively, but I used to practice law and I was an officer in the Air Force. Last, I'm told I should describe my taste in music. Since ballroom and latin dancing is my thing, music a person can dance to comes first (I give it a 10, it has a good beat -- yeah, I know that's a bit shallow, but I'm practical). I like any kind of music in the right situation. I like to think of myself as cultured, but I'm not nearly as cultured as I give myself airs to be. Besides hanging out at the beach, my favorite place to be is with the people I care about and can be myself around, and if I can be working on a project (say, creating a ballgown or pulling up weeds or painting the walls) in the company of such folk, maybe they're helping me, or maybe they're watching a movie or doing their own thing, or maybe I'm helping them do their thing, I'm in seventh heaven.

I'm not looking for a dance partner or to go out dancing.
