I am a widower with a 25 year old daughter. My daughter lives and works in DC. After my wife passed away I have been spoiling my daughter a bit by buying her a condo at Dupont Circle in DC and taking her to skiing trips to Italy, Germany and Austria. We just returned from our trip to Denmark and Sweden visiting family friends there.

Although being spoiled by dad, she IS a very responsible young lady with responsible career. We are extremely close. I am very much aware that life could be fragile. I keep reminding myself that each day and each moment of life is precious.

I am athletic (lean and no "belly")...an avid skier, a good tennis player and a sailor. I am also an occasional golfer. Love to walk/hike by the canal and/or in the nature.

Have been traveling extensively to Europe, Asia and South Pacific. I was born in Japan. I also love good conversations and candle light dinners or plain good home cooking. I am not a great cook but I cooked all three meals for my wife for two years when she battled her illness. The experience has taught me how rewarding it is to devote myself to a partner by letting her know how much she is cared and loved.

I am a good listener. Love dancing and listening to all kinds of music. I enjoy good books. I am also an avid theater goer having season tickets to three different local theaters. Love good sense of humor, too. I sculpts regularly. Love art and artistic creativity or any other creativity.

I am financially secure and responsible. But I believe money is not what makes us happy. It is the love of family and friends, the wonders of nature and the serenity and clarity that come from quiet contemplation. It is the relationship that brings our inner growth and inner simplicity.

I am optimistic by nature. I would love to share the good life and a caring, thoughtful and honest relationship with someone who is fun loving and sincere with good sense of humor and willing to grow with me. Hope to hear from you.
