I’m a woman that loves life and meets challenges head on with a positive attitude and a smile - I love to laugh and do so often. I look for the good in all people and circumstances – even though it can be a challenge at times. While I do enjoy the niceties and finer things in life that hard work has provided, I am also not afraid to step out of my environment and explore other cultures and environments. I am comfortable in all settings, with all types of people, and can go from shorts, a tee shirt, and baseball cap on a weekend camping trip to a little black dress for the opera with ease and grace.

I am a self assured, intelligent woman who is equally comfortable in the outdoors, as well as the city, who enjoys quality time together and respects personal time alone. I'm self-confident but never arrogant. I have a good sense of humor and can laugh at myself. My inability to tell a joke and make it work will stun you. I can articulate my thoughts and believe that communication is a key element to a good and lasting relationship. While I can be a bit shy when first meeting, once the ice is broken, I am quite comfortable.

Having experienced significant loss in my life (my husband was killed in a motorcycle accident), I have learned to accept difficulties as opportunities for personal growth and renewal rather than to blame, and I work hard to focus my own efforts to simply improve the person I present. This has helped shape my perspective and clarify the things that I want for my future. It is my hope that you similarly have seen the obstacles in your life as a path towards something richer and more fulfilling.

I believe that we are each responsible for making the most of this life and I would love to share that with someone special. I am a firm believer that our lives are made better by the things that we can do for others. I am quite passionate about family and friends and their significance in our lives and want that quality in a partner. I am a one man woman and don’t believe in the serial dating concept.

I once read a statement that has stayed with me .. “ Love is friendship that has caught fire.” I like that. I want someone that I can share all aspects of my life with .. The good and the bad. The successes and the ‘almosts’. I want to meet someone who will be strong when I am not and who will allow me to be there for them when things are difficult. I want someone in my life with passion. They need to be passionate about life, about love, and about me.

First and foremost I would like to meet a friend. That person would be a partner .. A lover of life .. Someone who shares the same ideals and believes in working toward common goals. I truly believe that happiness is perfected when it's shared and I am looking for someone to grow with, to share all the amazing moments that make life worth living. I would really like to meet someone who can simply enjoy being together, even if is just in comfortable silence. I’m looking for a lasting connection on every level, mentally, emotionally, sexually and spiritually.

The gentleman that will grab my attention and keep my interest is intelligent, kind, funny, and optimistic, with a strong sense of self. He is a man of quality and substance, easy-going, well mannered, well rounded, cultured and considerate and he is willing to be open to giving and receiving friendship and love. He is able to be empathetic to people. He is able to articulate his point of view on a variety of topics and his feelings. He understands that I am unable to read his mind about his wants or needs .. He can easily communicate those things. He enjoys an active but easy-going lifestyle. Someone that has their own interests as well as sharing mine.

While I do live in the Sacramento area, I travel to the San Mateo / San Jose / Bay / East Bay several time s a week to meet with clients so distance really isn't much of a concern to me. I would consider relocating to those areas.

Something that provides an opportunity to talk and get to know one another. Maybe a museum or a coffee shop, a walk along the waterfront - there are so many great places to explore / experience in this area.
