Opposites no longer attract me; I'd like to meet someone with common interests.
I enjoy books, classical music, arts, and communing with Nature. Also, movies, good food and wine, and being silly sometimes. I want to publish a novel, or have a play produced in the near future. I hate shopping. Dislike Disneyland and Las Vegas.
Looking for someone who brings out my best, and vice versa. Someone kind, intelligent, and funny. Should like animals and not talk down to children. And not think reading a book in bed is boring.
People tell me my profile is too short, so I'm adding a few words. Padding it, so to speak. I watch public TV (love Doc Martin) and radio and think a public health care option would be a good thing. At the same time, I'm fairly private (which is smart in a small town, I think) I also think it can take a lifetime to know someone. Or maybe several (lifetimes). So if I say I'm looking for a soulmate, I really meant it!
On the lighter side...I'm not nearly as serious now as I was at seventeen. The best part of getting physically older is finally feeling safe to be your true self. Going back to the things that really matter to you. Being with the people who really matter to you. Okay, I'm not good at small talk, never learned how to do it...
