I'm a former flight attendant who left the friendly skies to pursue my passion for working with hospitalized children. While it was tough to give up those free travel benefits, it's great to wake up every morning knowing that I get to go to work doing something that I love and consider my "calling." Not too many people have heard of my job title of "Child Life Specialist." In a nutshell, I help kids, ages 0-18, affected by illness and injury cope with the psychological and emotional aspects of being hospitalized and/or enduring medical procedures. Working with kiddos in this setting has definitely helped me to put life in perspective...I try my best to not sweat the small stuff and am very grateful for all of the blessings in my life.

In my free time I enjoy keeping in touch with my family & wonderful group of friends (who I consider family that I have chosen for myself). I love trying out new restaurants and enjoying all that Chicago has to offer, from the theater to baseball games. At heart, I'm a "homebody," so I try to make my home as warm and inviting as possible. Love home-cooked meals and curling up on the couch with a good book or movie. I also love naps, which I think are highly underrated....

Some other things I adore: picnics; good, old-fashioned, handwritten letters; anything chocolate; Thai food; Spanish tapas; pizza; Julius Meinl; flowers; Ravinia; Halloween; roller coasters; wine; quotes; candles; autumn; google; laughing; & antiques. Two of my favorite places are Italy (especially Venice) & Boston; someday I'd love to travel to Ireland.

The guy I'm looking for is, at his core, warm-hearted & affectionate. While he values the finer things in life, he realizes that none of that matters without having the right person to share life's adventures with. He is educated, gainfully employed, environmentally friendly, and has a soft spot in his heart for puppies & kittens. Most importantly, my ideal guy is one who is ready for a healthy relationship and has time to devote to one...

Like most people on this site, I'm looking for the person with whom I have the right chemistry... we can look and sound great on paper (or online as the case may be), but if that special "spark" isn't there, then it's unlikely that things will evolve past friendship. While I would love to meet a nice guy for friendship and dating, ultimately I would like to find that guy who wants me to be the last person he talks to before going to bed at night and the first person he sees upon waking up in the morning.
