I enjoy being with friends and family, backyard BBQ's, and being with that "someone special". I am not looking for a couch potato or someone not self-sufficient and I don't want a shadow. While I enjoy spending time with someone special, I also need to "miss" them. I would like to find an honest and trustworthy man, taller than me and still has all their teeth (hair is optional), someone who holds the door open for a lady. I do not mind someone with children, however, I am at an age where I probably do not want any of my own. I don't smoke and would like for my partner to also not be a smoker. I am varied in my musical interests, though I do enjoy 70's and 80's style or head out to a night spot to listen to a local band play. I volunteer for area non-profit animal rescue groups. I have 4 dogs, a one-eyed cat, and I foster special needs animals. I am a civilian officer and have been employed with a local law enforcement agency for over 20 years. I love my job, though sometimes it is physically and emotionally demanding. I enjoy spending time in Pamlico County, where I spent my summers growing up, fishing with my uncles and my dad.

Meet in the parking lot of the local WalMart to check each other out . . . just kidding!!! Coffee or a couple of drinks, would be an ideal way to see if there is mutual attraction. If there is some chemistry, maybe dinner, dancing or stroll through a local park.
