Thanks for checking out my profile. I work in midtown Manhattan for a major cultural institution - a world of glamor and excitement nonstop, only not so much. I'm Irish-American, with a shaved head, goatee and hazel eyes. I love concerts, sporting events, photography, museums, shopping and aimless wandering, but I can also sit quietly with nothing but the breeze to entertain me. What kind of concerts? Anything from the latest UK import band playing at the Mercury Lounge to Paul McCartney wowing crowds at CitiField. My taste in music is all over the map, although I dislike most rap & can only swallow country in small doses & usually, only when it's being sung by Jimmy Buffett. I enjoy keeping active & doing volunteer work when I have the time. I'm looking for a woman who is confident, attractive, fit & sane. Athletic, compassionate, strong & sexy. I believe I'm all of these things, except a woman. That's the part you'd play. :)

If we're going to hit it off, you'll have to be an actual, 100% woman. If you're anything less than 100%, I don't care how well the operation went! Otherwise, I'd hope you're a good conversationalist, but don't take yourself too seriously? I do like funny and quirky. Honest and genuine is good too. If you have taken a road less traveled, cool. Extra points if you're the creative type. I am always up for a bike ride, run, or long walk in some park. Hopefully, the word 'alternative' doesn't scare you, but the words 'Sarah Palin' do. Then again, I hope you don't think Obama is the second coming of anything. OK, enough about politics! You should be kind and a little bit crazy and be able to forgive my penchant for 80s music, Star Wars and Disney movies.

Really depends on the person I'm with, more than any randomly entered thought as I type this at 7:30 a.m. I know I'm not looking to exchange endless e-mails & watch whatever initial potential there might be for a connection fizzle out. Ideally, you're single & sane & I'm single & sane & we'd both like to eventually change that so that we're involved (& still sane). Ideally, something we'd enjoy together that can give us a chance to get to know each other without any pressure or expectations beyond the moment.
