I'm well-read, traveled, and dressed; leftist in my political analysis and worldview; independent and unconventional in almost every way; confidently classy yet compassionate & down-to-earth; warm & gregarious yet content with my own company; wickedly witty when inspired and an easy laugh. I am incessantly curious, with a smattering of knowledge about many things: history, art, film, vintage fashion, antiques. Respectful of but not much of a fan or participant in sports---although in life I have sailed a lot, skied, snorkeled, played golf & basketball etc.

Conversation over coffee, but best without too much nonstop interrogation: "do you have any pets?" what's your favorite season & why?" If talking goes relatively well and no one has wept or fainted, maybe a walk---through the Olympic Sculpture Park, the Arboretum, or along Kirkland's waterfront. A 2nd date could be the usual movie, dinner, museum...I'd even love to visit the zoo as a way of getting to know more about each other!
