Like most humans, I'm a work in progress. To me, the most important thing is to keep trying, keep growing and keep laughing. I have been quite happily single for a long time, but have recently become open to the possibility of something more substantial.

I'm big on spontenaiety and fun. I love travelling whether it's a road trip to Vulcan or a two-month backpacking expedition in Southeast Asia (both of which I've done). I am a writer, singer, painter, photographer, graphic artist and fulltime marketing manager for one of the coolest non-profits in Calgary.

I love to laugh and you can hear me a mile away when I do. I am honest (sometimes to a fault), loving and affectionate with my friends, I vascilate between a cynical realist and a naiive idealist depending on my mood. I am looking for someone who is multi-dimensional, intelligent, honest, self-aware, self-sufficient and accepting of themselves and others. Age and race/nationality are of little importance to me. Intelligence, good communication skills and a good sense of humour are essential.

I have a birthmark on my ankle that is a perfect circle about 1 cm in diametre.

I enjoy animals with people names.

I have a thing for cops.

In the last 15 years I can count the number of times I've cooked on two hands.

I turned 28 in Sihanoukville, Cambodia where the people I was travelling with threw me a beautiful party at a local restaurant decorated especially for the occasion. They even found a birthday cake. It was one of the most memorable times in my life and I'll be forever grateful to Diana, Sam and Gavin for pulling that off.

My IQ is 142 but I am unable to do long division.

Music is very powerful for me. It allows me to feel things I don't always let myself feel and can often bring answers to nagging questions. It tells the story of my life and can bring back people and places in an instant.

In a perfect world you'd be dark featured, have an impressive IQ, you'd be older than me but younger than my dad, you'd have salt and pepper hair, be financially, emotionally and psychologically stable, you'd be funny, socially conscious, creative, musical, warm and comfortable with people. You'd also probably be a little quirky and completely ok with the fact you dance to the beat of a different drum. Of course, in a perfect world, I'd have Jessica Biel's butt, Oprah's bank account and live on a beach somewhere... So, we give and we take. Like I said, we're all works in progress, right?
