I’m never very good at writing at writing these so I thought I’d try a top 10 list of interesting things about me first and then go for the more detailed part afterwards, assuming I still have your interest after number 10 of course.

1. I will try anything once. And assuming I don’t pick up a serious injury the first time I do it I’ll try it a second time as well.
2. I can hold a conversation on just about anything.
3. I can dance... in my own unique way anyway.
4. I’m always punctual, I hate it when people are late.
5. I have an eclectic taste in music.
6. I have a dry, sometimes sarcastic sense of humour.
7. I enjoy watching movies, going to the theatre, theme parks, gigs, going to sporting events, funfairs and many others. Basically anything the modern world provides that it can charge for.
8. I am a great listener.
9. My favourite season is autumn.
10. I make lists.

I like to think of myself as a laid back guy who doesn’t take life too seriously and enjoys having a laugh and joke with the people around me. In my spare time I like to read, I find it really relaxing just to sit back and read a good book especially when the nights are closing in. I also read lots of news and information websites, a habit I picked up from an old job where I had an internet connection and not a lot to do so just read everything I could to pass the time which makes me very handy in a pub quiz.

This year I decided to try out new things so have learnt how to ice skate, ski and snowboard along with my group of friends. I’ll readily admit I’m not the greatest ice skater but I really enjoy skiing and snowboarding and I have got a lot better at snowboarding recently (well I’m falling over a lot less anyway). I’m already thinking about what I want to learn next, at the moment I’m leaning towards scuba diving and maybe golf which is something I’ve always wanted to try.

Let’s see, what else... I like to think of myself as a decent enough cook and can normally whip up something healthy to eat but if all else fails I order a mean takeaway. I ‘m a big movie fan and if I have the time I try to go to the cinema and catch the latest releases but I am just as happy kicking back and watching a DVD at home. I enjoy American TV shows with some of my favourites being How I Met Your Mother, Fringe and Friday Night Lights as well as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Like everyone I enjoy a night out and I’m not averse to dressing up for the occasion.

I went to Las Vegas for the first time this year and had a great time which has given me the travel bug. I’ve already got a snowboarding trip booked for this Christmas . In the future I’m hoping to travel around Europe and go on a road trip through North America which is my biggest travelling ambition.

I’m originally from Shropshire and moved down to Cheltenham for work just over two years ago so I’m still relatively new to the area and I’m always looking for new things to do and see in the surrounding area so I’m someone likeminded who wouldn’t mind coming exploring with me or to tell me about all the great places I haven’t found yet.

Coffee or a drink in a bar, never the old cliche of going to the cinema.
