I decided to try the online dating thing. It eliminates blind dates and you can see if you have anything in common before meeting. I'd say the most important personality trait to me is sense of humor.
I've changed my profile a few times because it's hard to describe myself
in a couple paragraphs without sounding contrived. So, I'm going to keep it simple. I like sports, art, movies, music, traveling, fishing, surfing and sleeping. I picked dating from the list but friends is a good place to start too.
