Well, now, let's see what I should say about myself. I've finally finished grad school, got myself a good job, and everything looks just peachy except for not having the right girl to enjoy life with. So obviously I'm definitely looking for a serious relationship (or at least something that can develop into one).

About me: Personality-wise, I'm down-to-earth, practical, humble, stable, and intelligent; I'm also funny (if you like a dry/sarcastic sense of humor), warm, compassionate, and charismatic; I usually gravitate towards a sort of leadership/organizer/diplomat role in social situations. I'm an animal lover. I am politically liberal. I am a big fan of the arts, especially music (I'm always trying to drag somebody to Carnegie Hall with me), and I'm a sucker for a good beer or wine (especially beer now that I'm brewing my own) with a nice dinner. (Trying new restaurants is one of my favorite things to do.) Winter is my favorite season. In my spare time I try to keep up with my very novice piano-playing, make a dent into the growing pile of books that I'd like to read (which is growing almost as fast as our national debt), hang out with my former grad-school friends at the Triumph Brewery in Princeton, and occasionally obliterate my buddies in a random online computer game that we might happen to be playing.

Well, normally you meet somewhere neutral for the first date so that we can make sure that the person we've met online isn't some sort of wacko serial killer or something. So I usually use the power of google to find a nice restaurant that's geographically between us and that's also new to both of us so that even if the date is a flub, we both have a tasty meal and get to try something new. :) Whenever possible, I like to pair dinner (or lunch) with something else artsy (that also provides a backdrop for conversation to ease the awkward ice-breaking!), like a stroll through Grounds for Sculpture or the NY Phil or some such. Or even the cliche movie, which is often just as good (and possibly more relaxing at the end of a stressful week!).
