Clarification---Smoking- There is no choice for "Wish or Plan to quit"... only choices are "occasionally", "no" or "often". Well, I prefer if people know I want to quit.

One more thing before I get into my long verbiage ....If you do not have a picture up please send one when you email... looks are definitely not everything...but, let's be honest, if there's no attraction whatsoever up front, there is little chance of anything else.

I am a very up front, open and honest person. I say what's on my mind, I don't play games and have no use for those who do. I am looking for Mr. Right, a long term commitment, a partner for life and I definitley don’t want to waste my time or yours...so, here's a few points to keep in mind if you're still reading:

I'm not into camping- unless it's a cottage w electricity and full plumbing ...(or, perhaps I just need the right person to go with :-)

Favorite movies are comedies, romance, drama, horror (thriller).

If you think sending flowers are a waste of money, poetry is waste of time or believe RAP is actually music we probably aren't meant to be :-)

If the idea of slow dancing w/ a woman or committment makes you ill,
again, not for me.

Your wardrobe should consist of more than just jeans and sweats. (Not that there's anything wrong w/ a nice looking pair of jeans.)

If you're unemployed or your work ethic leaves much to be desired,
If your body is plastered w tatoos or
you're able to wear your hair in a ponytail , not my type.

If you can't get over the fact that your mommy's not around anymore to cook all your meals, clean all your clothes and wait on you hand and foot... move on please. I have a son and don't need another.

If you are looking for a blonde barbie w/ little to no brains you are looking in the wrong place.

I enjoy romance (on both parts, give & take) - FYI, romantic dinners do not involve yellow arches.

I'm a passionate, confident woman w/ strong personality - straight forward and open. Honesty and communication are very important...No games, no hidden agendas... what you see and hear is what you get. You should be the same way.

If you have children & do not support those children, you are definitely not my kind of guy. I have two beautiful, wonderful kids (daughter 15, son 13), but unfortunately, if you're wishing for babies of your own, my baby days are done and gone.

If you have made someone laugh today that's great- (wishing it was me !)

You should be sentimental at heart yet solid as a rock.

You'd enjoy cooking a meal together, are not a stranger to housework (ie, wouldn’t know how to operate a washer/dryer, never washed a dish etc...) You should be handy around the house, with cars... etc... all the stuff us lovely ladies love to have our big strong men look after :-)

If you think you're God’s gift to women & your ego has a hard time fitting through the door , this is not a good thing !

Affection should not be reserved for special occasions, I'm not afraid to show how I feel about someone and nor should you be. (keeping in mind of course, there is a limit !)


My interests are as listed. Admittedly, I watch too much TV...that's my evenings pretty much right now :-)
I do love golf but am really, really bad at it. I only play maybe once or twice a year but it's fun !
I used to sing when I was younger but not much lately. I love to hear great singers though. If someone can bring tears to my eyes or give me goosebumps when they sing, I love that feeling.
I am from Nova Scotia, the country, and would love to live in the country again (at least the outskirts). Not much of a city person I must say.
Oh yeah, I love to laugh. There's not enough laughter in the world!

For quite some time now my days have consisted of work, children, home, errands.
I'm here for the real deal, been alone too long...But, Looking for the right partner -someone who can communicate, has some intelligence, not a doormat but definitely not controlling, someone who is honest, likes to receive & give affection, loyal, loves wholeheartedly and is passionate - a companion for life, someone with whom we can share our pasts (mistakes and achievements) , meld our present lives and build a lasting, loving future together.
