| | Hi. I am a part-time student looking for a friendship first, and then possibly more. I have just completed a degree which I was pursuing on a very part-time basis for many years, and am looking to expand my social network. I would consider myself a very hard worker and determined when there is something that I really want to achieve. Education is important to me, but it is not the most important thing.
I consider myself to be a very open person, and am looking for people to have interesting and intellectually stimulating conversations about many different things. I should mention that I tend to be shy at first, but I am very friendly and warm up quickly, and people tell me that I am really easy to get along with. I go to church every Sunday and am beginning to explore my faith. It is something that is becoming very important to me.
I would also say that volunteering is something else that I value highly. I am volunteering and beginning to look for paid employment. I volunteer with homeless people and many of them have mental illnesses. I love it, and am going to start looking for paid employment in the helping field in the New Year.
I should also say that I will read just about anything. Right now I am reading "Burning Your Boats", a collection of short stories by Angela Carter.

I think that the perfect place for the first date would be something like a coffee shop. I also like going to art museums, and doing anything cultural. I also enjoy all kinds of music, especially country. I have an open mind, and am willing to try anything at least once. There are so many things to do in this city, that the sky is the limit.
I should also say that I wasn't able to fix the age thing on here. I'm actually 36.
