Oh POF is a funny place! People all looking for the same thing and hoping they can find a great match :) Sending a first emails is strange, especially when many profiles have such little information to work with.

About me:

Originally from the East Coast, I have been in Vancouver for over 10 years and know that it is great place to live and work. I enjoy hiking, sailing, and kayaking in the summer; snowboarding, snowshoeing and hopefully I will start back-country skiing this coming winter (2009-2010).

Love to walk or bike and explore the city, find interesting places to eat, live theatre, good movies and it seems more and more live music. For the most part I am game for an adventure and that adventure can be found wherever you look - the city, the mountains or the other side of the world - everyday can be interesting.

Not a big fan of watching hockey or football in the regular season – always better if there is a cup, or medal on the line. At the same time, I don't mind watching the game at the bar with friends.

Other random stuff:

"Height" - yes, really, 6' tall

"Want Children" - "Yes" but the choice of "Yes, with the right person" wasn't there.

"Long-term" vs. "Dating" - You have to crawl before you walk and you need to date before you can be a long-term partner.

"Prefer Not To Say" - This is more of a note to those that have selected this option to answer any question. It is ok... don't worry... everyone is mentally filling it in with the most undesirable choice... otherwise why won't you say? :)

Remember this is "first meeting" and it is about meeting another person living in our great city. Relax, take a deep breath and come ready to talk and laugh! Maybe we will become friends, confidants or maybe something more.
