Where to begin…

I have recently returned to the UK having spent the last 4 years working around the world, New York, LA, Hong Kong and Singapore to name a few. Back working in the City which I love, I know that some people complain about the crowded commute but as I normally head into work before the rush and leave after it I don’t really see the problem!

I am great believer that life is for living, there is no point in getting stressed just do your best and if you do that no one can ask any more, generally this leads to a better quality of life.

My first real passion is travelling and whenever I get the opportunity I like to explore new cities and cultures. One of the best things about being in London is the chance to visit places in Europe, the continent is so compact it makes pretty much everything achievable. My favourite city is Rome, the mix of history, architecture, culture make it unbeatable and I never think I will tire of visiting.

Having said that I am originally from Newcastle (although I have no accent) and I absolutely love the Northumberland countryside. Ever sine I was young I have spent summer weekends living in a small wooden bungalow on a sand dune entertaining friends with BBQs and bonfires. I truly believe there is no better way to spend an evening than sitting around a bonfire with friends and a bottle of wine talking the night away and only heading to bed once the sun rises! No matter where I have been in the world I have always tried to make it back for at least one weekend a year.

During the week, if I ever make it out from work in time, I enjoy taking in shows and stand up comedy (is there anything better in life than laughing, even if it is at yourself!), I believe life is so much better when you open yourself up to new experiences and having a ‘just say yes’ attitude definitely helps. Lets face facts, we are only here once so you might as well cram as much in as possible.

My favourite sport, despite being from Newcastle, is Rugby both to play and watch. Rugby international weekends at Twickenham have to be one of the highs of the year, getting together with a big group of friends and making a day of it, I feel at a bit of a loose end now that the autumn internationals are over!

Anyway, before I bore you to death I shall draw this to a close but if you are an intelligent, friendly outgoing individual who looks to get the most out of life but is able to do so with a smile on her face and above all you don’t take yourself too seriously it would be great to hear from you.
