About Me
I'm a quiet person who enjoys puttering around the house. Not into the bar scene or dancing, although I do love all of the music from the 50's, 60's and 70's (ask me who my favourite band is!). I play a reasonable guitar - but you'll be sorry if you ask me to sing! The only sports I watch are the Olympics or the series finals. (I am not a couch potato.) I enjoy cooking - and yes ladies, I do windows! I have traveled around the world a few times and lived in both the Middle East and the Far East. I enjoy deep conversations on a wide range of topics, with the exception of sports and politics - I feel there are more important things to discuss than silly games or [cough] silly games. I have no religious affiliations - I do believe there's someone/something out there - I'm just not sure who or what at this stage, but I do have my opinions on that topic (this is not an open invitation to a conversion - don't even think about it! I have good sense of smell and can detect b/s at a thousand paces.) I spend some free time looking after the association I created several years ago for my old RAF squadron http://www.ukmamsoba.com I'm comfortable in any social situation. I have a wonderful witty and dry sense of humour, but being British this can sometimes be misconstrued as sarcasm (hands up all those who are familiar with this unfortunate stigma!). Bottom line? A good egg! ___________________________________
You...... (just a wish list and not in any particular order or preference - somewhat mysterious - spiritual but not a fanatic - elegant but not pompous - assertive but not loud - beautiful in my eyes - able to read a map - have an opinion on major issues - environmentally conscientious - somewhat musically inclined (if you play guitar or piano that would be a real bonus!) - able to take the wheel - gentle and soft at the right moments - firm and take charge where the situation demands - not afraid to show affection in public - geographically cognizant - not afraid to speak up if you sense something is wrong - capable of understanding British humour - can think outside the box - humanitarian - open-minded - tolerant - unprejudiced.
First Date
Obviously a first meeting is a meeting of the souls, a place where you see for yourself if you are going to "click" or not. I think it would be comfortable to be in a coffee shop where there's no pressure for either party to stay longer than they want to. If there's a connection then I probably would spring for a second coffee and possibly a doughnut
Me Tigger has 2 roses that can be sent.
