I will be starting a graduate course in January 2010. This means that I am looking for someone who is understanding and tolerant of the commitment I have made. Just wanted to give a heads up.....

A little about me...
I am 40 years old and have 2 wonderful girls ages 8 and 11. I have my own career and know that I have alot to offer to the right person. I enjoy doing pretty much anything from camping to an evening out on the town to a quiet night on the couch watching a movie. It's not what you do, but the company that you share your time with that makes it special. I am independent but I also enjoy the company of a significant other.

What am I looking for in a partner?
I am searching for someone who can not only be a companion and partner to me but also my best friend. Hopefully you will have an open-mind and will value the thoughts and feelings of the inside of a person. If you are self-centered, a couch potato and think that you are number one, please pass on me. A relationship should be a partnership that takes care of the needs of both parties that are involved. Communication, trust and honesty are necessary in order for things to work. I am not into games and I am looking for someone who is family oriented, considerate and has goals for their future.

I'd just like to add...
We only live once, so I believe in doing and seeing as much as we can. I consider myself adventuresome and will basically try anything once while I don't mind taking chances within reason. I have traveled alot before children and now I wish to show them the world a little at a time in between their activities. I am also open to expanding my circle of friends so if I gain a friendship out of this that would be great also. Hope to hear from you!!! :)

For the first time meeting I don't want to think of it as a date but instead two people causally meeting to see if something is there. I'd prefer to keep it simple over a casual drink and conversation. If after that something clicks then we can proceed to a "first date".
