April 2009 - Welcome to my revised profile. Having been on this website for about six months now, I have learned very few will read this. I have been on many first dates in the last few months, some from this site - others not. While I have met some nice, interesting men, I have met no one who has made my heart flutter.
And while that may not be necessary for all people, it is very necessary to me.

So I'm turning over a new leaf (it is spring, after all). I'm concentrating on my impending household move and the gorgeous springtime.

Take a walk... smell the flowers... perhaps I'll see you there! ~

To me, a great first date starts with hanging out in a some type of restaurant or coffee shop. It doesn't have to be formal or fancy, just quiet enough to hold a conversation. I find that talking over some sort of food often breaks the ice and gives you something to do with your hands. It's often fun to go to an unfamiliar place, with a new type of food. If nothing else, you can laugh together over the strange pairing of mango chutney with red hot chili.
Afterward, I love taking a long walk. My favorite walking places are along a river, preferably the Hudson. I do my best thinking there and ultimately have my best conversations near water.
