I have read others who have said the same...writing about yourself is not easy. So I am using my profile from match. What can I say...I like what I said, I have added a few items as I have honed in on what works for me.

I am looking for a man who is intelligent, engaging and engaged in a meaningful life of their own. A man who can communicate with verbal intimacy, kindness, patience, empathy, tolerance, and affection, while at the same time is emotionally generous. I prefer someone who is in tune with world events and is passionate about personal issues. I am not sure what all the motorcycles are about but many profiles I receive have men pictured with their new cycle. I guess I don’t get the fad. I do get the thrill of speed but there is something about wanting to protect body and limb that makes me fond of the protection of a car.

I would expect the man I choose will be looking for similar characteristics in a woman. And oh yes, someone who has a great sense of humor! I love exercise that is kind to my knees, the air, the water, the beach, mountains, cities, art, culture, restaurants with patios, and good conversations.

I was married for twentyfive years. I have been divorced for six. I revitalized my career and supported my children and help them get out on their own. I have been told that by nature I am optimistic, loyal, fun loving, charming, and an engaging person. I think it is pretty accurate, so I will stick with those descriptors. ;o)

First dates...meet at a public place for a determined amount of time. I prefer to meet sooner than later as I have found it is easy through email to get wrapped up in an "idea" of who a person is without meeting. Meetings are a more visceral chance to begin the vetting process for both parties. I would hope at this stage of the game that men would be just as serious. I mean who wants to waste any more years on bad choices…thankfully we grow and now have a cognitive advantage to think through who we choose. ;o)
