Well, I have a lot of great friends and a few best friends that mean the world to me, but no one I consider my bestest friend. So I guess ultimately that distinction is what brings me here to this site. So, here are some random facts about me. Family means a lot to me and Vancouver is home. Yet, I've spent several years working, studying, and travelling all over the world and still don't feel like I've seen enough of it, if that tells you anything about me. I'm the guy who will continue to surprise you. Most people find out pretty quick that I'm honest and rather confident. I should note that I'd like to lie sometimes, but my face breaks out in an uncontrollable grin whenever I try. Deep down I'm a dork and a bit of a nerd and I suppose I can be pretty goofy at times.

I have a pretty cool career with a great firm and am driven, but make sure to enjoy life and am determined to also become a novelist... What else? Well, outside of the shower, I have no musical talent whatsoever. I think I can dance though and like to, but am told I really shouldn't. That said, I'm completely done with the club scene. Pubs, patios, and restaurants are more my thing.

I'm well read and well educated, if only it had sank in, I'd really be a catch. And you guessed it ladies (and weirdos), I'm not just funny to look at. Yep, great in the sack too... What can I say, I've got Scottish roots. Physical attraction is a must, but chemistry means everything to me. When you have it, it seems to make everything work and make sense and I've learned that sometimes you find it between the two least likeliest of people. But with that said, what am I looking for in a woman?

Well, I know I find intelligence, empathy, and compassion very attractive. I'm a sucker for eyes and tend to speak gibberish when first confronted with the right ones. I'm looking for a girl who has the ability to win over everyone she meets and when she shines the bright light of her attention on you, it feels as though you are the only one around. The only person that matters to her. I like girls who are driven, but want a family of their own too one day. If your interests are summed up by shopping, tanning, and clubbing, I'm definitely not interested. You're allergic to Norman, not interested, I've got him under contract to kill spiders until all 9 lives are up. I want a sexy co-conspirator and someone who can keep me in check all wrapped up in one dainty package. And cookies... If you can bake, I'm really interested. Unless you use raisins, then I'm not interested.

Things I like:
Travelling, culture, & history. Almost all sports. Point breaks over beach breaks, Whistler over Blackcomb. Wine - what can I say? I lived in Paris for 3 years. Outdoor concerts and anything outdoors even in the rain; Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley, Tom Petty, Coldplay, open minds; white sand between my toes; movies that make you think or laugh; The Economist; The Alchemist; honesty; campfires & the conversations that accompany them.

Turn-ons: compassion & intelligence. When a girl ties my tie for me in the morning or wears my shirts. freckles. I actually have a lot of turn-ons. It can be a problem sometimes. It's not my fault.

Turn-offs: ignorance & Republicans. People who don't at least recycle frustrate me.
