I'm a fun out-going God-fearing person who enjoys getting outdoors. I deeply enjoy singing either around the house, or outside. I like to cycle, help others and watch them achieve their potential. I enjoy being around the water and have been known to parasail and snorkle.
I enjoy browsing the various local festivals, looking at the crafts for sale and sampling the food and music. I also like picnics in the park and spending quality time talking with the special people in my life. I like to sing along with my Andrea Bocelli cds.
I have been described as kind, warm, caring, and considered as a father figure by many people. God has put this love inside me, I am not afraid to show it. I don't believe that friends say hello or good-bye with hand-shakes, I give hugs.
I don't want to be around negative people. I have lived half of my life and don't plan to be around those type of people anymore. I grow tired of proving these people wrong. I love watching people like Susan Boyle quiet the critics. I am also not into quick relationships, so if this is where your coming from, please move on to someone else. With short time relationships, it is tiring, monotonous, and very shallow relationships. I deserve better than that. Besides I am trying to be a proper example for my son and a true witness for my Lord. I can blend in, but I also look forward to quiet times to rest and relax after busy days watching a movie, reading a book or having a relaxing talk with someone.
I am involved with prison ministry and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It helps having worked as an Correctional Officer for 18 years. I love cooking, especially Italian food. I will never get tired of smelling fresh baked bread, Chicken Picata, and olive oil in my house, maybe you will enjoy it also, the grandkids do.
I value honesty, integrity, open communication, and being able to share my feelings without being criticized. If I'm going to be with someone the rest of my life I want to be able to talk to her and have her feel like she can share anything with me.
I am looking for a person who has strong Christian values, if you don't stand for something, you fall for anything. She must like to work up a sweat outdoors, and can be relaxed inside when the day is done. Knowing her way around the kitchen would be nice also.
