I read these words a while back, and realized just how much they describe
me. I find that like myself, it's better to care about people and not
have a lot to say all the time, rather than to feel the need to constantly
talk. There's nothing wrong with long silences when you're with someone,
as long as you're both comfortable with it...and you should be. On
another note, it's better to show someone you care about them through your
actions, rather than telling them constantly how you feel. True, it's
nice to hear it every once in a while, but words have a tendency to
cheapen over time, especially without any kind of actions to back
them...yet your actions and gestures will always ring true.

Now, on to the 'Good Stuff'....a bit about me -- not too much, mind
you...don't want to give away everything...heheh.

I just got out of the Navy after 10 years, and now I'm attending College, with the goal of getting my Electrical Engineering degree and landing a kick-ass job doing something similar to what I was doing in the Navy.

As for personal stuff -- I'm a bit of a gym rat, and although I haven't been able to go regularly for the past couple years for various reasons, I'm FINALLY getting back into it...finally got this shoulder injury hammered out, so I'm golden...heheh. I'm also a bit of a 'Gearhead'...I LOVE fast cars, and my favorites are American Muscle, esp. the Classic stuff. I like working on my own cars as well, I find a sense of
satisfaction in completing a major repair or modification to make it go faster. I like Fantasy Novels and series....Robert Jordan's 'Wheel of Time' series is my absolute favorite, but I've stumbled across other great series' by CJ Cherryh, Holly Lislie, Ian Irvine, and others. I've actually started George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series, which is fantastic so far! Now I'm just waiting for him to finish book 5, DAMMIT!!!

Other stuff...I'm a computer nerd....love to tinker with my computer, and I'm fairly good at fixing 'em as well. I don't really look the part of 'computer nerd', but not many do these days, you know? I have a pretty wide taste in music, from Blues to Techno, Rock to R&B (some), Classical (on the rare occasion that I stumble across it) to Metal. The only genres I have a hard time listening to are Hardcore Rap, and Country -- although, given the choice between the two, I'd pick Country over Rap to listen to...LOL! That doesn't mean I can listen to it for long, but if someone puts it on, I can tolerate it for about an hour or so before the station needs hanging...heheh.

I'm a Photographer -- Not pro by any means, but I like to think I'm fairly skilled...I'm more of a 'Hobbyist' anyway, but have kicked around the notion of going pro one day. I can also stumble through a few riffs on the Bass. I'm working on practicing again regularly, but I have a soft spot for a good solid Bass Line in a song. If it's Bass-heavy, I love it!
