One of the things I always remember is that someone told me that a first date is like a job interview...and you know in the first five minutes whether things will move forward. Well, in my job, I've held a lot of interviews, so while there is something to it, I also know that many great people don't make a good first impression...especially in a DC context. I think first dates should be no-stress, such as lunch or coffee...and it should be fun for both people...after all, it would be a nice memory.
