I am recently divorced after a two year separation. I have learned much and grown during that time and am ready now to begin a new life and have new friends.

I enjoy conversation as well as being in the paradise that we have here outdoors. I have done a great deal of boating, fishing, skin and scuba diving as well as private pilot flying in the past. Now I am interested in new activities and am open to learning and enjoying them. I enjoy kayaking and saw the space shuttle lift off from it. Often, after work I walk the beach and swim there while the clouds turn beautiful and the birds fly by. I also enjoy idle time, reading and relaxation. I go to the gym but must admit that I don't really enjoy it all that much. (I watch the news while working out) I would rather be active outdoors and get exercise that way. To sweat and have fun is better than to sweat alone. :)

I want to meet new friends and enjoy doing things with them rather than alone. My friends say that I am the nicest person that they know. My family is very important to me. Fortunately they all live in Florida and I enjoy spending time with them when I can. I love my work. It is interesting and rewarding but I want to broaden other areas of my life now. Vacations are both necessary and fun and so ... why not? Mark in on the calendar and the next thing you know, you’re going! Cruises are easy and stress free. I want to have a full, fun and interesting life. For most of us, the road behind us is longer than the one ahead so I am not really up for wasting it.

NOW, the important part... Why are we here? I definitely do want to have love in my life. I can be alone and even comfortable that way, but for me there is no joy in being alone and without love. I am looking for friends but beyond that I would like to meet someone who has a laugh behind their smile, is intelligent, fair, kind in spirit, courteous and honest. I will be the same for you. I love to hold and to be held. I want to smile and laugh and dance and share dreams and love with that person who I know exists. I am here because I want to find you.

I would like to first speak with you and then meet. Let's choose a place that will allow for conversation and enough time for any jitters to disappear and our personalities to emerge. Coffee seems to be the standard "lets meet" format and that would be fine with me. Or, let's take a stroll, maybe stop for some ice cream or just enjoy a nice view and conversation. What we do is secondary so long as the scene does not ruin the opportunity for us to get to know each other.
