Here I am a "young" middle aged guy suddenly tossed into the dating pool after 17 years of raising a family....holy $hit! I've put my life back together and now I'm looking for a wonderful woman to share it with. I've got a big heart and there isn't much I wouldn't do for those I care about. I am easy to please and try to keep it simple! I don't like drama or complications if its at all avoidable! People who know me well will tell you I'm a pretty flexible and easy going guy. I'm very particular about a few things in my world and admittedly I do tend to be stubborn about those few things. Mostly though, I'm a laid back, "count me in" kind of guy.

Family is very important to me. Life has taught me that there simply isn't anything more important than your family. I am the proud father of 2 teenage boys who are the world to me. If you have some of your own children that is fine by me...in fact that's great! I'm finished with having anymore children though. If your interested in starting a family I'm simply not your guy.

I consider myself very fortunate. I am a telecommunications engineer enjoying a career that I love working for a company that actually cares about it's employees. It is both challenging and rewarding position and I am proud of what I do for a living. And yes, it does keep me busy but I try to never bring my work home with me! I work 8-10 hours a day. Enough is enough after 5 or 6pm!

I LOVE music; Mostly Rock..old and new. One day I could be listening to Evanescence (Amy Lee if your reading this...marry me) and the next some Eric Clapton (Eric if your reading this...your gay...but still GOD on a strat!)or Godsmack, Alice in Chains...or whatever. If it speaks to me and I'm in the mood for it I'll listen to it. I love finding new bands to listen to and digging up the old stuff too. If you enjoy going to see live local bands and concerts I'm your guy! And ya, if the music's right and the alcohol level is elevated slightly...I will dance. I'm not good at it (can u say "air guitar...lol" but I'll get down. Come to think of it if it can be done to good music count me in. Rock on...

I'd like to meet someone who shares my life values and some of my interests.. especially music. You'll also need a high tolerance for sarcasm around me...because I'm pretty damn good at it.

First, I am in a lot of ways the typical Aries male. If you can hold my interest I'm hooked. I need a woman who is my equal. No, I don't pretend to be the sharpest tool in the shed but intellect is very sexy and someone I can have an intelligent conversation with goes a long way with me. I'd like someone who isn't tooo high maintenance....or worse high maintenance but thinks she's low maintenance (ala When Harry met Sally). That said, I will admit I do like the girly/girl type as long as breaking a nail doesn't constitute a national emergency and getting dirty once in a while isn't unheard of. I don't care for people who are self centered (look at me!), materialistic or people that are vein. Don't get me wrong, I like to have nice stuff but it is JUST stuff. I'd like to find someone who knows how to have fun and enjoy life and a healthy relationship but knows when it is time to be serious. I want someone to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie together or watch those damn Indians blow another one (and be equally disgusted). I'm really just looking for a best friend. Somebody honest and opinionated, responsible, pretty and sweet that I can count on always to be there for me and know I'll always do the same. I need somebody who knows what it is like to have your heart broken and have the will to try and love and trust again and doesn't take anything in their life for granted. Lastly, I would love to find someone who will love and accept my boys as part of me. I'm not looking for a mom for them...they already have a mom. Just someone who can enrich their lives by being part of my life.

I'm not here to play games or get laid or mess with peoples feelings. I'm looking for that one special lady. I'm a one woman man and always have been. I'm looking for a partner to spend the rest of my life with and maybe make a few friends in the process. I believe a successful long term relationship like what I am looking for has to have both a mental and physical attraction (chemistry) that has to happen between two people. One without the other is just not going to work for the long road.

I wouldn't even mention this as I thought it was pretty much assumed as common place with people looking for a relationship but apparently this is not the case and not everyone has their $hit together. In talking to some of you ladies there seems to be some real dirty dogs in this pond! So on my own behalf I submit the following; I have my own house, I have my own car, I have a career, I pay my bills, I'm not a convict, I'm mentally stable (arguably...LOL), I have all my teeth...and hair and I'm not a drunk. The catch? I snore. And no, I don't have a damn motorcycle. What is up with you ladies and motorcycles anyway? I have a corvette, ok? And my ass doesn't hurt when I'm done driving it either. We'll talk about a motorcycle after we fall in love. Deal?

I think somewhere quiet like a coffee house or something where it is easy to talk and get to know one another would be ideal. Maybe even somewhere quiet for a few drinks to take the edge off that initial first meeting. After all this first "date" is more like an interview of sorts. Getting to know one another with little distraction seems like the right way to go but I'm up for anything as long as it's an atmosphere that's easy to talk in. A movie? No way. I can sit at home and watch a movie! These first meetings don't even phase me anymore...so let's just get it over with and meet already! And please be yourself! By the way, I find Intellect very sexy!
