Good day, and thanks for scrolling down to at least read my profile. I am looking for a running partner of the opposite sex, who understands the compulsion. This year I ran around Westwood pretty much every day, time and daylight allowing.

Unfortunately, with the amount of daylight drastically curtailed, and my yearly km quota in, I'll be filling the void with other aerobic activity. Besides, the mountains will be open for skiing soon enough, and I want to be good and ready. Because of this, I went out and bought a pair of ice skates. Maybe you'll see me at the rink.

But back to the running. I average between 28 - 35 minutes for 6km. Since I am tall, height is a must (at least 5' 8"). I'm not looking for a race, just someone to help set the pace.....

Now that you've got the basic idea, I guess its time for a few deep thoughts.

To me, this site so far has been a disappointment. I guess I don't know what I expected, or maybe I set the bar a little too high (go figure). I wouldn't say I'm the type that has his head in the clouds, but I try to ignore the sore feet and calves. I like to joke around, but I am serious about running, and it gnaws at me when I don't get out and about. What was nice with the warm summer weather, was the refreshing jump in the lake afterwards (oh, so refreshing).

What am I serious about? Concrete. Call me crazy (if you must), but as mundane as it is, I am still tickled pink every time I make a shape, fill it with that viscous liquid and 24 hours later, BOOM! its a solid.

I am also grudgingly loving of my cats, though they annoy me at times with their pushy behavior. Like, come on, Kitties! You have it made, with nothing to do but hang all day, and possibly chasing a small beast or two. The puke gets me down. Why do cats have to barf? My little fat man just recently crapped in my laundry basket on some of my towels! Oh I was pissed, so he's lost indoor privileges. That'll show'em.

I'm still down for a run, but I could possibly be talked into something different if you just want to meet.
