I read somewhere that if you can't ask out loud for what you want, you don't deserve to get it.

Since I had the toilet of my heart flushed, (it's OK, I jiggled the handle a few times & I'm over it now), I have realized that, ultimately, I do want the right man in my life for the long term and I want to be in his. There, I asked for it out loud. If there is a way to meet the right guy without dating, I don't know it.

I have also heard that you have to be what you want to attract. Being an even-tempered, witty, bright, & active man didn't work out so well, though. I had to let a lot of BBW's down gently and, I'm not gonna lie, had a bit of a hard time with some nice-looking ladies. C'mon, you never thought it might be easier on the other team? K, me neither. No, really. Never? Naaahhhh, me neither. Well, maybe that once, but there was a lot of tequila involved.

I love the smell of popcorn, but don't eat it. I have curves, but am not overweight, love the water but don't swim or waterski, work in finance but have no money to speak of, like dogs but have a cat. I'm funny as anything you can think of that's really funny but I might not make you laugh. I look my age, look good for my age, am younger than, the same as, and older than my age. I helped build a house and ran a ranch but can't put an Ikea bookcase together and often forget to scoop the litter box... you get the idea. If you don't, best you stop now.

Skiing, golfing, & hiking are my favourite things to do, and I'm various levels of competent at all of them. Actually, I'm not at all competent at golf, but I love it anyway. I also enjoy the gym, and I've recently started running again, even when nothing is chasing me. I don't know why I ever gave it up. Cooking, movies (out or in, but in is better), hanging out with friends, watching a game, day trips, or weekend getaways are all good, too. I've enjoyed the little traveling I've done and plan to do more of it.

The ideal man for me would enjoy some of the same things and also have his own interests, some of which we could share, but let's not do everything together. For instance, I would love to learn a racquet sport, & I would absolutely get on the back of your bike, but I don't like cycling and I will never spelunk. Not for you, not for rock & roll.

What happened to all the women in Red Deer, Edmonton, & Lethbridge? Have they finally all been preserved in '80's hairstyle museums? Fort Mac I can understand, there never were any there to start with. I have no doubt that you're all perfectly acceptable guys & I'm flattered by your attention, but I'm not interested in anything long distance.

I don't smoke & neither will anyone I go out with. I never thought I would have to mention chewing tobacco, but it seems it's more common than I ever would have dreamed. I can tell, and no matter what else you have going for you, if you have those teeth and that breath, the thought of ever kissing you will make me go eeeeewww.

Just not coffee. Please, even if I wasn't just a morning coffee drinker, can't we think of something more original than freakin Starbuck's? I get the whole low investment, easy-out thing in case I'm fat (I'm not)or you're obnoxious (I'll let you know), but isn't a walk by the river even cheaper & doesn't it give us both as many escape possibilities? A drink by a fireplace or on a patio, appies at JT's, the zoo, skating, zip-lining, the driving range, bowling (I suck)...OMG,at BOWLING,I mean. That wasn't a promise, it was a figure of speech. Just sayin, there are so many more things in the world than coffee. Let's do one of those.
