Hi!

My name is Chris. I'm originally from Montreal, and through some random freak occurrence of events, I ended up out here. I love the island! It's such a nice place, especially in the summer. But it does seem to be a bit of a hard place to meet new people. And I guess that's why I'm here.

I would say I'm a pretty active person. Random Island adventures are always good, especially when the destination is unknown. Right now, I'm into jogging, biking, going to the gym (sometimes...). I would like to try surfing, and go bungee jumping. I find it hard to sit down for too long, especially considering there are so many new things to explore. When the mood strikes me, I enjoy cooking, especially when it's a dessert.

I like to build things, though living in an apartment makes that kind of difficult. I would probably tear about and rebuild my first house. I love traveling! I've been all over North America this last year, and recently returned from a road trip to San Francisco. There was also some skidiving involved in that trip. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. I'm planning on visiting Australia over Christmas. I'm also hopelessly addicted to coffee, though I've recently managed to stop drinking it in the afternoon.

I don't have any particular taste in movies, though I tend to like geeky sci-fi movies, but I'll watch most anything if I'm in the right mood. I listen to all kinds of music: Indie Rock (Death Cab, Arcade Fire), some heavier stuff, occasional classical and even older stuff like the Beatles.

My ultimate goal is to start an engineering company (a couple of friends and I have an unofficial pact to do this) since I really don't like working within the restraints that a lot of companies have.

I am looking to meet new people, and maybe more if the right person comes along. I'm looking for someone funny, able to carry out a good conversation, shares some similar interests, and perhaps up for some travelling. If you're interested, IM and we can talk some more!
