My name is Melissa, I go by Mel. I'm 21 . I love films and the theater. I work at a movie theatre, and I love my job. It gives me access to free movies, what's not to love about that? It's something to pay the bills while I try to write my book, which is my true dream.

I love music of all kinds. I'll listen to anything and love going out to local shows. My taste in music has A.D.D.

I will watch anything as well. I'm pretty much the flesh version of IMDB. If it's a film I will try it on for size. I feel that way about most things in life. I'll try just about anything once.

I love to go camping and white water rafting. I spend a lot of my time in movie theaters, comic book stores, used book stores, coffee shops, and in parks. I love animals; I have two dogs and a cat. I live with family and take care of my poorly aging grandmother. I have dirt under my rug, but it hasn't stopped me.

I love to go out and have fun... hookah bars, pool halls, bowling, movies, dancing but I'm also a bit of a home body. I love to curl up on the sofa and read a large novel, or watch old movies. I'm a big fan of thunder storms and dancing in the rain. I don't like fake people or mind games. I want people to be blunt with me. I have a solid group of friends that I go nearly everywhere with (including work) but I'm looking for someone who can be more than a friend. I'm looking for someone who can keep up with me and want to be there for me. When in a relationship I'm committed and tend to fall to fast and to hard, which is something I plan to amend. Right now I'm looking for something that can develop over time.

To me the first date shouldn't really be a date. Because I am not a huge fan of online dating I like to meet in person before a real date. Just an informal coffee, or a walk in the park with our dogs (being good with animals is attractive to me). If that works out and there is a real connection then it's dinner and an activity. Movies or bowling always work for me. Anything involving music or theater is a go.
