About Me
Life is a series of lessons, yes? Some people call them mistakes, but they that is because they don't learn from them.
I am so sick of reading bullsh*t in these profiles, aren't you? It's a subset of the market-speak that pervades American society, I think. Who the heck takes long walks on the beach, except in commercials?
Also, what is with all the chat-averse people? Sometimes I just like to take a break from work and chat with someone. We can talk about anything, or nothing at all. Not every interaction has to be about screening someone for a potential life-mate kind of thing. Does it?
Anyhow, I am ekeing out a living currently, after a long stretch of hunkering down and doing some R&D for a business that has yet to earn enough for me to live on. I am probably not a good candidate for a serious relationship just now, but could really enjoy having a friend and a confidante, someone to spend some of my (sparse) free time with.
Someone trying to figure out how to make it on their own out there who might like a friend?
First Date
First date? That sort of assumes something that happens after a few emails and maybe meeting face to face for the first time. Where to go from there?
Something inexpensive, to be honest. Fortunately, Austin is full of that kind of stuff.
A nice meal, followed by a trip to a museum, a walk along the lake trail? Or walk, then a burger or pizza downtown?
