First of all, let me say that without POF.com I never would have found my Soul Mate!!! A friend of mine had met her honey on POF and she suggested it to me. I had just gotten out of a bad relationship and still hurting, but I thought, what the hey? Might as well give it a shot, nothing to lose right? When I first joined up, I was very skeptical that I would actually find somebody on here. 2 days later, I had 5 phone numbers, including my future sweetheart. I talked to a few of them, they seemed pretty nice, but none of them seemed to click. Then I talked to Nate on the phone and it was like magic!! We had EVERYTHING in common, it was like we were the same person, it was (and still is!) amazing! We were born at the same hospital, both premature, I weighed 1lb 9oz and he weighed 1lb 12oz...just 3oz more then me! Both our mom's worked at the hospital, and we both were hooked up to a breathing machine. I left in May, right as he was born, so I'm pretty sure we 'ran into' each other! From there, our lives were seperated, but similar. We talked for 12 hours straight online, and for hours on the phone every day for weeks and weeks, and decided to finally meet. We were both so nervous, but I'll never forget the first time I laid eyes on him!! It was the happiest day for both of us and sadly it had to end. We kept meeting up and spending time together and discussing our relationship. We both felt very strong towards one another, and pretty soon, I realized he was 'The One'. Our first kiss was sort of an accident, and he told me he loved me while on a date at the movie theater...we were afraid it was too soon, but we could not deny what we felt in our hearts. It's been a rough road, (even true love isn't easy!) but we are still going strong, and I have no doubts that we will make it! I feel so complete knowing my soul mate is finally in my life, after many heartbroken years of searching...he is more then I could ever dream or wish for!! Thank you so much, POF.com, I owe it all to you guys!! Everyone else...just keep searching and never lose hope!! Blessed Be, Dani
We met on plenty of fish in March 2008 and within 10 days we were engaged. As we were both 60 it seemed silly to waste time .The first year was the worst getting to know each other and to forget bad experiences from past relationships .There was also the family getting to know him and his family getting to know me.We have stuck to our guns and are getting married in July and we are both so lucky and so happy that we have found our soul mates .First time I can be myself and he is happy. So thank you plenty of fish and my advice is if you find a good man then give him a chance xx
Paul and I were on the Plenty of fish web site becuase friends pushed us to get on. Neither Paul nor I were looking for a relationship of any kind. He was to far for me to consider and I was to far for him to consider, and we both had come out of bad relationships. Paul wrote about his sone and how his job was his life and how much he enjoyed being a solder. I was communting back and forth from Dallas to Belton, TX to take care of my grandparents while my grandmother was being treated for cancer. Paul lived in Hewitt. Paul and I exchanged emails off and on for a month or two. then one day he sent his phone number and said to cal if I wanted. So, I called;. And from the other end of the phone came a deep norther accent and a cocky tone of voice. I loved it right away. We talked on the phone every night for hours. We still had not exchanged pictures. We started a plan to meet. Set the date, June 22, 2007. a couple of days before are date, we exchanged pictures. He took my breathe away. I packed clothes for the weekend, because i was going to my grandparents and on the way stop and meet Paul face to face. i pulled in the parking space and held my breath. Then Paul walked out from between the buildings and I forgot to breathe. He walaked tall and confident in his uniform. He looked 10 ft tall and as strong as an ox. I was afraid to get out of the car, for fear he would read how excited I was to meet him. We hit it off right away, I came back home and deleted my account from plenty of fish I knew I had found the one. Since that first phone call wenever miss a day talking to each other. Paul moved to dallas in November and commutited back and forth to Ft. Hood until his retirement was completed. That was 4 long months. All things settled down after his retirement and we got married. And here it is a year later and we are still just as happy as the first time we spoke.
