To Be Married February 2009
I (Janie) was browsing plenty of fish and read a profile that intrested me. I emailed Billy and we begin talking. We had a lot of things in common and Billy drove 2 hrs. to meet me. We found out that when we were young we were born in the same hospital, lived in the same town for 7 yrs., went to the same school for 2 yrs, (but I was a couple of yrs. older than Billy) and his family came to my dad's dairy farm to purchase milk. When he came to meet me, I showed him the town, bought him chocolates and Dr. Pepper, the two things he said he loved. We met with my older sister and brother-in-law to locate a place in the country that had changed. Billy saw a home he had lived in, a building his dad had built over 50 yrs. ago. Billy went back to his home and as we talked, we discussed how much it would cost each weekend if he were to make a trip to my town. He had a vehicle that used a lot of gas. I offered to take turns with him and we started seeing each other every weekend, then more days of the week. We found we had a lot in common and my family really loved him. Billy surprised me with a promise ring 6 mo. later and told me all the promises in front of the sales person. I was really tearful. Then in Nov. he surprised me again with taking me to pick out an engagement ring. The ring had to be sized. I told him he had not gotten on his knees and proposed. Billy said he was waiting for the artilary to come back. About 2 weeks later he was in town and called me to meet him at O'Reily's to see something about his van. It was raining and I was working, but I met him, and he pulled out my engagement ring. Again, I was tearful and told him again that he had not gotten on his knees to propose. He said,"But it is raining!" We decided to be married on Valentines day. Billy said he would be able to remember our anniversary. We had an afternoon at church withe several singers, and when Billy and I were ready to sing together, the pastor asked if we would like to tell people what our news was. Billy looked at me and said," Janie will you marry me on Feb. 14th and be my Valentine for the rest of our lives?" I did have real tears then. We were married on Feb. 14, 2009. Both of us had loss our spouses to death. We are enjoying discovering life and enjoying each others families through the good times and bad time. We have found we can talk about what is important to each other and plan to travel. We continue to go to church and sing specials at church. It is never too late to find happiness even at our age. Thank you plenty of fish!!!!!!

Engaged February 2009
I had just moved away from home and did not know anyone or anywhere to go. So I became a member of plentyoffish.com in April of 2007. I talked to several guys from around my area and even met a couple. I met someone that is now a great friend, but more importantly I met the love of my life. We started talking in October 2008. We both knew from the very start that we were perfect for each other. After talking for hours at a time on the phone every night, we decided it was time to finally meet face to face. I dont think I have ever been so nervous! When he arrived at my house, it was an instant conection! We spent all our time together, and fell deeper and deeper in love. Valentimes Day prooved to be one I would never forget. When Jason asked me to marry him, I cried. We now live together and are happier than I ever imagined. We are planning our wedding the end of the summer! I found my true soulmate and can not wait to spend the rest of my life with him! Thank You plentyoffish for making our dreams come true!!! - Lindsey and Jason

Engaged May 2009
Two years ago after going through a divorce and moving to the big city of Houston, Texas my hairdresser told me about plentyoffish.com. I was already on a different dating website so I thought why not. After going on a couple of dud dates I received a message from a man named Eric who would later become my future fiancé/husband. I’ll never forget opening the message and reading “You have the most beautiful smile and it’s contagious.” Okay, so how could I let this one get away? After a week or so of emailing back and forth and talking on the phone, we decided to meet up for dinner and drinks. I was leery but, he wanted to extent the date to go meet some of his friends for drinks. Not only were Eric and I personalities matching up his friends made me feel like we had known each other for years. Now, almost two years later we are planning our wedding for the Spring of 2010. We both would like to thank plentyoffish.com for helping us find our future spouses. Without this website, neither of us would have found a new best friend and 100% happiness for now and in the future. Thank you for everything, Caroline & Eric

Dating Since April 2009
Shawn & I met on plenty of fish, I had been on here for about a month & was not having much luck. I was getting ready to close my page, I had received a message from him but told him we couldn't talk since he didn't live near me, he emailed me back & said we could have dinner sometime in my Columbus Ohio...it took me awhile to get back with him, but I eventually sent him another message & told him to call me, we've been together every since that first phone call & have plans of getting married in the future. After being divorced& having 3kids from that marriage, I didn't think I could fall in love again or find someone that would love me & my kids....Shawn Jackson is my man & he loves me and my kids...my kids adore him. I didn't ever think I could find true love online...but I'm believer now, thank you God for allowing our paths to cross, thank you Shawn for taking a chance on me & Thank you Plenty of Fish for making this "love connection" possible.
