We talked for a couple of months before we actually met, I was very skeptical to meet the man of my dreams through a website but since it was free and I had met many great friends through POF I kept coming back hoping to meet someone special. We were officially together in October 2008, and this weekend (May 09) we signed our first lease together. We have been soooo happy since day one, he has amazed me by his love! I have never had a man love me back equally and smile at me every morning when we wake and kiss me every moment of the day and be so very retarded with me til him! We have been together and going strong for almost seven months, and for the first time in my life each week we fall more and more in love, and get more and more silly! To top it off it is really hard to find someone who not only loves me this much but my kiddos too. I have 3 kiddos under 8 yrs old and they love him to death too! We are one big happy family! I can't tell you how much God has answered my prayers! He is everything I ever wanted and dreamed of!! It feels like the greatest dream that I never want to wake up from. Thanks POF for not charging for your services and making such a great site! One day I will come back and post our engagement story, and again later with our finally married story...and even maybe later with a baby story lol (yes we want more kids together)! So happy together!!! xoxoxox

I found this site on an advertisement displayed on my myspace page. I never had any luck meeting guys around where I live since its a small town and I dont get out much being a single mom of two and working two jobs. I had tried other sites and was disappointed. I figured "sure why not give it a try, I mean its free" so I set up a profile. I got a lot of emails and responses. They ranged all over the board from rude to sweet. I seriously was so done with being hurt and lets downs I was about to delete my account when I got the last email I was ever going to read. Needless to say I never did read another email because I found my perfect mate. I read that email and immediately my interest was peaked. His photos werent all that great in quality and you were from far away but when we met in life my jaw dropped. He actually WAS everything he said he was and more. This site was the best thing, aside from finding my guy, that I had done in a while. He was just about to give up on his search and conquest for love also and I was last girl he was going to email. It worked out in a funny final last throw way that we found eachother but I wouldnt have it have happened any other way. I am blessed and dont take that for granted. Ill let you all know when the wedding is scheduled for. My lil world is complete and I couldnt ask for more. Thank you. Bless you all.
I (Janie) was browsing plenty of fish and read a profile that intrested me. I emailed Billy and we begin talking. We had a lot of things in common and Billy drove 2 hrs. to meet me. We found out that when we were young we were born in the same hospital, lived in the same town for 7 yrs., went to the same school for 2 yrs, (but I was a couple of yrs. older than Billy) and his family came to my dad's dairy farm to purchase milk. When he came to meet me, I showed him the town, bought him chocolates and Dr. Pepper, the two things he said he loved. We met with my older sister and brother-in-law to locate a place in the country that had changed. Billy saw a home he had lived in, a building his dad had built over 50 yrs. ago. Billy went back to his home and as we talked, we discussed how much it would cost each weekend if he were to make a trip to my town. He had a vehicle that used a lot of gas. I offered to take turns with him and we started seeing each other every weekend, then more days of the week. We found we had a lot in common and my family really loved him. Billy surprised me with a promise ring 6 mo. later and told me all the promises in front of the sales person. I was really tearful. Then in Nov. he surprised me again with taking me to pick out an engagement ring. The ring had to be sized. I told him he had not gotten on his knees and proposed. Billy said he was waiting for the artilary to come back. About 2 weeks later he was in town and called me to meet him at O'Reily's to see something about his van. It was raining and I was working, but I met him, and he pulled out my engagement ring. Again, I was tearful and told him again that he had not gotten on his knees to propose. He said,"But it is raining!" We decided to be married on Valentines day. Billy said he would be able to remember our anniversary. We had an afternoon at church withe several singers, and when Billy and I were ready to sing together, the pastor asked if we would like to tell people what our news was. Billy looked at me and said," Janie will you marry me on Feb. 14th and be my Valentine for the rest of our lives?" I did have real tears then. We were married on Feb. 14, 2009. Both of us had loss our spouses to death. We are enjoying discovering life and enjoying each others families through the good times and bad time. We have found we can talk about what is important to each other and plan to travel. We continue to go to church and sing specials at church. It is never too late to find happiness even at our age. Thank you plenty of fish!!!!!!
I had just moved away from home and did not know anyone or anywhere to go. So I became a member of plentyoffish.com in April of 2007. I talked to several guys from around my area and even met a couple. I met someone that is now a great friend, but more importantly I met the love of my life. We started talking in October 2008. We both knew from the very start that we were perfect for each other. After talking for hours at a time on the phone every night, we decided it was time to finally meet face to face. I dont think I have ever been so nervous! When he arrived at my house, it was an instant conection! We spent all our time together, and fell deeper and deeper in love. Valentimes Day prooved to be one I would never forget. When Jason asked me to marry him, I cried. We now live together and are happier than I ever imagined. We are planning our wedding the end of the summer! I found my true soulmate and can not wait to spend the rest of my life with him! Thank You plentyoffish for making our dreams come true!!! - Lindsey and Jason
