 | My friend encouraged me to join this site for a laugh, i never would have dreamed it would lead me to my future Husband. We chatted online and over the phone a month before we met up, as cheesy as it sounds i kind of knew before we met that this was going to be something special. Our first date was jam packed with activities, and we clicked straight away. The rest is history, we got engaged on our 7 month anniversary of our first date and were getting married on my birthday in August 2010. You do get some rather strange and wierd messgaes from some people on this site but if you hang in there true love and the right person will pop along when you least expect it. After posting on about 4 other sites,I found my sweetheart, Lisa on Plenty of Fish.It was on April 21 2006 when we met in person for the first time.We met at The Boardwalk in Bossier city,la.We dated for 7 months and found out we were like pea's in a pod.We got married on April 21 2007.We went to Florida's Disney World for our honeymoon.  | I signed up for POF, when I was reading answers to questions on yahoo answers.... POF was mentioned in an answer, and I decided to try it out. I went into it just hoping to find someone to talk to, I had NEVER planned on meeting anyone. Actually I had doubts about EVER meeting anyone online, so I spent nights reading profiles, and messages, but never really intended to EVER become more than friends online with anyone. But, that all changed when I met G.K. It was Christmas Eve, one of the hardest days of the year for me. My grandma passed away (she was like a mom to me), and Christmas Eve was a "huge" deal in our family. I logged into POF, and got this letter: Hey,merry x mas.you are 100% right. family comes above all other.Im a hunting machine my self.My passions are bow hunting and bear hunting. I guide for bait sitters and have 9 hounds. You can check out some of my videos on YOU TUBE.SEARCH....bearman3006 .Turkey & goose hunting is all so a blast.You like red neck jokes,got one for you.Please dont be offended.Red neck word of the day,Handsome...I told her when her mouth got tired to use her hand some.LOL...IM an out going wild n crazy guy on the out side and a soft hearted romantic on the in side.I love to chill and watch movies of any kind. "G" I was never so eager to reply to someone, so I messaged him right away, but was so anxious that I decided to instant message him, instead of waiting for an e-mail response. He responded and within five minutes I found out that he actually knew some of the same people I know, and he gave me his number. I called, which is not like me at all. WE talked about EVERYTHING from about 8pm that night, until around 6 in the morning on Christmas Day. I told him my family was coming up, so I had to get a couple hours of sleep. We hung up, but I couldn't sleep all I could think about was this amazing man I had just met, and how it was too good to be true. He Hunts, he has good morals, family values, and we think so much alike. We had so much in common. I felt like I knew him forever even though it had been all of ten hours on the phone. I talked to him longer than I have talked to my best friends, and the conversation was ongoing, there was NEVER silence. I spent Christmas day with my family, but still all I could think about was this man on POF. I couldn't wait to get home, so we could have yet another amazing night of conversation. We talked that entire night, until very early in the morning this went on for a week. Finally he took the initiative to ask me to meet him. I said yes, and we were suppossed to meet on New years eve, BUT I backed out. I didn't know what to think, it all happend so fast, and reality sunk in that this was for real. I told him Friday instead, and then he called to say he was on his way, and I said I changed my mind and wasn't ready. He said it was too late, and I couldn't back out. I repeated that I changed my mind, but then we just laughed as he was driving to see me. LOOKING back I am SO THANKFUL he is so persistant!! (or he may have given up on me) :) I proceeded to tell him that we may hate each other. I said I could totally think you are ugly, or you could say the same about me, he giggled, and said doubtful we've both seen pictures, plus we are too much alike to hate each other. The meeting: He was parked across from my apartment, he was ont he phone with me, as I was giggling like a little high-schooler. I opened the door, he walked up to me and smiled and said "yeah, your right I hate you, I better go." I said yeah you should leave, I hate you too, and you are totally not cute. (something like that). We laughed, and went in my apartment. We talked, he showed me hunting videos, and jsut watched movies. He ended up staying the entire weekend, and was SO respectful towards me. ( He was a true gentleman) He was AMAZING, and I knew that right away. After the weekend was over, I didn't even want him to leave. I was already starting to fall for him. ( which before I thought was impossible to like someone that fast.) G came over EVERYNIGHT after that to visit me. It was great. And now, we have been together 4 months. (which isn't too long, but no matter what happens in the future, I know atleast I got the chance to love him, and I know he loved me back) Relationships aren't always easy, we have had our share of ups and downs. But, we love each other and as long as we know that, and have that things aren't impossible. Everything that we do go through is a learning experience, makes us stronger, and makes us know each other a little bit more as the days go by. I truly love him SO much, and look forward to everyday we get with each other. ( NOTE: We have 10 children, My daughter and his 9 dogs) |
 | Paul and I met October 2008 after a friend advised me to get on Plenty of Fish. I have to admit that at first I was somewhat skeptical about online dating and actually did it out of boredom!! Well, I have to thank her because as SOON as I completed my profile he IM'ed me and we've been talking since then. We met October 13, 2008 and have been inseperable ever since then. We are enjoying each others company and learning one another more and more everyday. We are now almost 7 months and still going strong....Thanks POF!!! |
 | What can I say?? She is perfect in every way. We are almost three hours apart, but that didn't stop us from being together. She made the drive to me and when she FINALLY got here, I knew right away, my search was over. We had the most amazing weekend together. It was unfortunatly over all too soon. I am with out a doubt head over heels in love with her. I can not stop thinking of her. The minutes pass so slowly now that we are apart and all I think of is when I can hold her in my arms again. You are all I have ever wanted and I only wish I could have found you sooner. I love you............... |
