Engaged February 2009
There are plenty of fish in the sea, but there's only one just right for each person. James is just right for me. In the summer of 2008, I was a wreck from head to toe because I had lost my mom the past year and over previous years all my immediate family and I had just walked out of a terrible relationship. I was a mess! I live in a rural area and there aren't many options for meeting people except hitting a hole in the wall honky-tonk, which isn't my style. I saw commercials and I tried a paid site (eharmony) and the matches I got were not even close to what I asked for! I got people who were no where near my compatibility. It was like they threw anyone at me, and didnt give me many options to actually search for things I wanted to know. I came onto plentyoffish.com and I filtered my searches. I came across Jame's profile, and was immediately intrigued. I messaged him even though he lived about 40 miles away. I didn't really expect a response. A few days later I recieved one; we began to talk and eventually in September, he asked me to meet him for coffee. I arrived at Starbucks at noon, and I left at 10pm that evening. We spent the whole day together. We pursued the relationship long distance. However, I think we knew right from the start that we were perfect together. There was a lot in common and so many coincedences from our families. I can't describe the feeling of knowing that wholeness. If you've never had the right fit, you never recognized it. That someone you never get tired of, someone you always go to, someone you can stop thinking of, and someone who makes you smile, and everyday you wake up feeling so remarkably lucky that you met them. That someone is James, and I am so thankful that I came to plentyoffish because I have James, and I couldn't imagine being without him. On Valentine's Day 2009, we had a big sweethearts party at our home with a ton of friends. James got down on one knee and proposed. We hope to be able to get married next September 2010, but we are financially struggling in this economy. Hopefully, we'll can get some help. Despite any barrier, I know James and I plan a long happy life together and it's all thanks to this site. We are so grateful, it's inexpressible. So props to you plentyoffish.com! Going to update my profile with some wedding pictures in the future! And as always, I will recommend you to my other single friends. - Jennifer Normoyle

To Be Married July 2008
Scott & I emailed each other a few times a week and than exchanged phone numbers. We had both been married & divorced with kids. But we had several phone conversations for hours. Finally picked a day to meet,(public place, of course) LOL....We met for dinner, and when we exchanged hugs I knew I was in for it!! He is the love of my love I had been hoping for. It felt as if we had known each other our entire lives. He proposed to me on Feb. 18th 2007, on a dirt road in Missouri......and we got married on July 4th 2008. My daughters walked me down the aisle and his kids stood up with us as well. Scott is the guy of my dreams. I could never have found anyone better!! We will soon be married a year and I think we've only fought once and that didn't last long. We were soon telling each other we were sorry. We are made for each other, and I thank GOD every day for sending him to me! At the age of 42 I found my soul-mate! So, to you doubters out there. Don't give up! He or she is out there!! They will come into your life when you least expect it. When GOD knows your ready. Thank you plentyoffish for giving so many the chance to fall in love. I believe in "love at first sight" for the first time in my life.

To Be Married November 2009
Well like so many others, I was about to give up. I had never heard of plenty of fish until I got a match on eHarmony that had a riddle in his "About Me", I figured out the riddle and immediately closed my account with them and registered on POF. I was on POF for 1 day when John sent me an e-mail with a teddy bear (yes he swept me off my feet), my first thought was boy he's handsome, please please please be taller than me, when I opened his profile I was very happy. That was March 4, 2008 and our first date was March 25, 2008. John and I got engaged on February 5, 2009 and are planning a fall wedding. Thank you POF!!!!
