 | First of all, I told myself that I'd never meet my husband online! LOL I was wrong! I was new to Seattle and a friend said that I should just try POF just for fun. So, I did. I met a lot of great guys on here. I decided to go 75 miles radius and oddly enough, that puts you in Victoria, BC. And I thought, "What the heck?! Why not?" I spotted this really handsome man and just sent him a quick little message saying that I hoped he'd have a great day. I actually never expected a response. I thought he was one of "those guys". You know, the kind that got lots of messages from girls. Well, I didn't hear from him for 3 days. Turns out, he had no clue what to say. He wanted to make a good impression! :) Within two weeks, he came to visit me. We had fallen in love with each other before we even met! On Christmas (2 1/2 months after his first visit), he asked me to marry him. I now live in Canada with him and we are getting married in Vegas April 27th!! It works! It really does! |
 | Hello everyone!! I have been on POF for about 2 years. I have met some wonderfully interesting people, a few of whom ended up being very important friends in my daily life since meeting them. But to be honest, I really never thought I would find anyone who would make me say "he's the ONE." I really did not think that person even existed. And the strangest thing was, HE found ME. He was a very new member and had only been on the site for 3 weeks. He was very unsure about the logic behind this idea of online dating, but gave it a try anyway. He saw my profile, liked something about it and took a chance to write. I was very intrigued by his profile and also by the sweet email he sent. So I wrote him back and gave him my instant messenger information so that we could chat realtime online. That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship that VERY quickly turned into something more deep, profound and real. I could not believe that there was someone out there who liked everything I did and added a few I was not aware of. And to top it all off? He thought I was the most beautiful woman ever! I wondered about his sanity when it came to that point, but decided I was WAY too old to question it based on fading eyesight. lol So...to cut this rambling short, he told me on the phone tonight to "delete your profile from POF....you're DONE." I cannot describe how that made me feel since I had heard OF people saying to their significant other, but had never hoped to hear someone saying it to ME. So, thank you, POF, for providing a safe, user-friendly place to bring people together who are looking for substance in their lives Throughout the entire time I have used POF, I have always recommended it, but not like I will NOW!!!  | At a time when i was homebound, i turned to POF to see who was out there. I found Krissy, and our lives have been perfect since then! Every day i wake up knowing she is there, and my heart races in anticipation of our love blooming more every day. She is my everything, and we have fallen completely in love. I had planned to move to Vancouver before I met her, but now i have every reason in the world to never turn back. She was housebound due to just having a beautiful baby boy, stuck wondering if there would be anyone out there who would love her and her child. I give my best each day to them, love him as if he were my own, and never look at another option for happiness. Thanks POF, I couldn't have found true love otherwise. Thank you Krissy for being my world! I love you, Happy 2 month anniversary :) |
