 | we exchanged one messge in early 2007.. and i didnt know why he stopped talking to me... but his mother got very ill. a few months later he sent me an email(on sat) and i had been online that day getting ready to cancel my account. i read the email and we exchanged numbers we talked all day on sunday and met on monday.. it was like we had known each other forever!!! we had soo much in common and we found out that for years we had actually lived with in a 10 mile radius of each other. we got engaed in Feb. 2008 and Married on May 9th, 2008!! thank you plenty of fish for helping me find my soul mate i love him to death, and i know he is my forever!!!  | I was new to plentyoffish.com and I was browsing through profiles on my very first day as a member with no intention of contacting anyone when I ran across Chris's profile. I didn't feel ready to meet anyone new but I also didn't want to not be able to find this guy again. So I put him in my favorites folder with the intention of coming back to him later. I didn't know yet that an automatic email is sent when you list a profile as a favorite! Chris was about to stop using plentyoffish.com when he saw that email. He took a look and decided to write to me. His emails were witty and charming and we exchanged several long emails a day until meeting for coffee a week later. That simple coffee date lasted almost eight hours! We have been inseparable since then and recently moved in together. Chris is a dream come true and we plan on marrying sometime next year!  | We met on Plenty of Fish. He e-mailed me back in June and I kinda blew him off because he did not have a picture posted. So again in July I got another e-mail from him so I thought "what the heck", and I started chatting with him. We finally met (after alot of persuasion by me) and we talked forever and hit it off right away. We have not been apart since that night. |
 | Michiyo found my profile on Plentyoffish. She sent a message to me while I was away on vacation. When I got back into town I found the message and checked her profile. Intrigued, I replied and we began corresponding. Within a few days we had decided we were interested enough to meet each other. I invited her to meet me at a local Starbucks and suggested I take her for a motorcycle ride and go out for lunch. That ride turned into hours of talking, several stops for something to eat and plenty of getting to know each other. After I dropped her off at her home that night, about ten hours later, I could hardly wait to see her again. We talked again the next day and the next, getting together as often as our schedules would allow. Since we met, we've talked to each other in person, by phone, online, across the ocean, every day but two. On those two days, which were almost a year apart, she was in Japan and away from home. Those days I did call, and left a message with her father. That in itself was a challenge as he spoke no english, and I spoke almost no japanese. I travelled to Japan half a year after we met and proposed in a romantic onsen ryokan. By midyear we were married. It has been wonderful to have met someone who I enjoy being with, and hope to be with for the rest of our lives. |
 | I was getting ready to delete my profile on POF, but then on the evening of Dec 19th, I was ready to just say goodbye to POF.. Then when I signed into the site, I had received an email from Jenn. I looked at it, and decided to write back to her since I had seen her profile before and added her to my favorites. The next day she wrote back, we exchanged numbers, and we texted throughout the day and made plans to see each other that evening.. Well that date we had that afternoon the 20th of Dec to go have coffee, instead turned into an all weekend date that went better than I could ever think of. We were both seeing other people before we met, and we agreed that we have to end it with the other person before we can be fully involved with each other, and that evening we both ended it with the previous people. Since that day it has been pure bliss! Neither one of us have been happier than ever in our lives.. I truly believe that I have found my soulmate and she feels the same. We talk all the time, we laugh all the time, we support each other when things are tough, but most of all we love unconditionally. We both have been in long term relationships in the past but never fully went through with it to get the next level and that is to get married.. But when I am with Jenn, that is all we can think of is planning the rest of our lives together! We are not nervous, or scared but more excited about the possibilites and what the future holds for us. Our parents are behind us 100% and they as well as friends have said" When it's the one, you just know" and we JUST KNOW! I asked her dad for her hand in marriage on Jan 14, 2009, and he said yes and with his blessings.. Then on Jan 16th, 2009, I got down on one knee, in a private moment at home, and surprised her with her engagement ring, and vowed to make me happy and love her for as long as I live. I then asked her if she would marry me, and she said YES!!! It was the happiest moment in my 34 yrs on earth and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with till death due us part.. We are currently planning our wedding on April 24th, 2010, and looking for venues and churches to hold the ceremony and reception.. I just wanted to thank Plentyoffish.com for making my dreams come true..... Thanks again!!! |
