 | Tired of trying to meet Mr. Right in the local taverns, I decided that I would try to find someone to date from online. I tried other websites that either I had to pay to talk to my match or my matches were not what I was looking for. Then a friend told me to try plentyoffish. I did and almost immediately Josh emailed me. After about a month of talking via internet, we met in person. He was as awesome in person as he was online. I had found my one. We have already been through more together than I ever had with anyone else. We "offically" moved in together in July and were engaged in October. One week later, we found out we are pregnant!! The baby's timing made us to decide to move our wedding up to December since I didn't want to be 7+ months pregnant at our wedding.  | Connie and I met through POF in August of 2006. We e-mailed back and forth, and did the instant message thing for a couple of months. She finally agreed to meet in October of 2006 and our first date was on Sweetest Day. She was pretty slow to warm up; I guess she was afraid I might be one of those "internet kooks" one hears so much about. But as time went by she began to trust and we just fell head over heels for each other. One year later, on Sweetest Day of 2007, I asked her to marry me. I knew she was expecting it, so I played a little trick on her. I bought a locket, and wrote "Will you marry me?" inside. Then at dinner at the same restaurant where we had our first date, I told her that I loved her and had a little something to mark our first year together. I had put the locket in the box the ring had come in, and handed her the box. When she opened it, I could see the disappointment on her face. She said something like "Oh, it's very nice", but then I told her, "That is a magic locket, if you open it, you can see the future". So she opened it and read the words inside. She started tearing up as I went to one knee and pulled the ring out of my pocket. She went to pieces, and accepted through the tears. We were married on November 15th, 2008, and are very happy together. POF does work. I had met several women through POF, but we just didn't "click", until I met Connie. You just have to be patient and have the good sense to hang in there until the "one" comes along. Don't try to make someone into the "one" if they're not, just because you're afraid you might not ever meet your soulmate. (You'll know deep inside if they are the right one or not). Look to their inner beauty even more than their outside appearance. I truly believe there is someone for everyone, and you will meet when the time is right. Have faith, be patient and GOOD LUCK! |
 | I joined this website just to hopefully meet a good guy. I ended up meeting not only a good guy but an awesome guy. We met and clicked right away. It's only been a few weeks but seriously WE both know that we found "the one" Thank you |
 | First the attached picture is the only one I have on my computer, I am somewhat computer challenged, my fiance is the caucasian women on my right! We first started communicating in June of 2006 and because of our busy lifesytles did not finally meet until September of 2006. It was magic, instant chemistry from the first meeting. So much in common: both divorced, both with 2 children of similiar age( in fact my son and her daughter starting dating, talk about spin off effect, it however did not last more than 6 months!) but remain very good friends. We were engaged in March of 2007 and will wed February 2009. I am a pisces and keeping with the theme we will wed at the Vancouver Aquarium, The Province may do an article for us! Also we were both growing tired of looking, and were going to discontinue the service a day or two before we connected.  | Who would have thought, to find your perfect soulmate by pure chance....I met a girl here March 18th, 2008...had our first date on March 26th....since then, we have been inseparateable...even know we currently live 2 hours apart, we have built a growing, loving, and very satifying relationship.....Thanks POF for giving us the connection, we are very much in love and look forward to an exciting, long, future together!! |
